I'm a data scientist and linguist; I look at numbers and words to help find and fix their problems.
I graduated from Georgetown University with a PhD in Theoretical Linguistics. My dissertation, and most of my graduate research, focused on the acquisition of Estonian, Hungarian, and English morphosyntax. I taught linguistics at University of Maryland, Baltimore County from 2017-2020. My classes included Introduction to Language Structures, World of Language I and II, Syntax.
I am comfortable both working with technical details and communicating at high level, depending on the audience. I'm happy to manage or be part of a team, or to work an individual contributor.
I am proficient in Python, PHP, SQL. I have experience with machine learning and natural language processing (scikit-learn, NLTK). I'm a quick learner.
